Hoosier Tank and Manufacturing is an ISO 9001:2008 company, incorporated by Tom Kinnucan and Bill Welsch on May 2, 1991. The new owners started from scratch and in July began purchasing equipment. In October, they hired their first two full-time employees — one of whom still works for the company today.

In 2004, the company’s owners oversaw the plant’s relocation from a 33,000 square foot facility to a new plant almost three times the original size. With the new 80,000 square foot building, additional production lines and continuous investment in new and updated equipment, Hoosier Tank has witnessed increased efficiency and further continued their growth.

The company continues to invest in capital equipment which will make Hoosier Tank even more efficient and productive in the future. On January 4, 2010 Hoosier Tank and Manufacturing unveiled a new state of the art powder coat system. The new system includes a three stage pretreatment and automated spray for even coverage with salt spray resistance exceeding 500 hours.
